David previously served as Rehearsal Pianist and/or Vocal Director for HAHS’ productions of “How to Succeed in Business” in 2011, “Godspell” in 2012, and “South Pacific” in 2013. He comes to Hempfield Area from North Catholic High School, where he was the founding Instrumental and Choral Director, Music Teacher, and Department Chair in their Cranberry Township location. He also served in various music and production roles for their Drama Program, including Vocal Director, Pit Orchestra Director, Stage Manager, and Producer for plays and musicals between 2015 and 2020. No stranger to the stage, David most recently performed as Harry in Armstrong Community Theater’s 2019 production of “Mamma Mia!”, served as the Music Director for their 2021 production of "The Addams Family," was the Director for "Once Upon A Mattress" in 2022, and starred as Jesus in "Godspell" in 2023. David also is an in-demand accompanist, who currently works with Seton Hill University's Una Voce Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. Mark A. Boyle. Una Voce and HAHS' Spartan Chorale performed at the world-famous Carnegie Hall in New York City in June of 2023. These ensembles performed Jose Manuel Nunes Garcia's Requiem in D Minor, which was a Carnegie Hall premiere. Dr. Boyle directed the mass choir and orchestra, and David was the accompanist for this event. David resides in the suburbs of Pittsburgh with his wife LeNora, a Hempfield Area graduate, with his two dogs, three cats, and adorable daughter Lyla.
